If Obamacare is such a good deal why did Democrats have to bribe their own party to vote for it?

It has already risen insurance rates across the country despite that Obama said it would lower them. Liberals apologize for this by saying that a promise of lowering rates is not realistic given the history of rates going up. So in other words, they say it was OK for Obama to lie to help ram it through because his lie was not possible.
