How to potty train very stubborn 2 3/4 yr. old who doesn't even want to hear the word 'potty"?

My little girl will be 3 in June. Now I know many children do not train by the time they are 3 but judging by my daughters past, it's going to be a struggle. She doesn't like change at all. I do not want potty training to become a crying episode since I know this is a no, no in training. Everything in the past I pretty much had to force her and go through a few days of misery (sleeping in the crib, sleeping in a big girl bed, stop the use of a bottle, moving out of a high chair...). I have tried bribery it worked briefly but won't work anymore. Should I be a little more forceful about it even if she has "potty issues" for the rest of her life :) ?
